What happens if accused becomes executioner? Will executioner be able to do justice? This is what is happening currently in Lokpal bill. India has fear that complete government community including parliament is involved in corruption But the interesting point is that the same parliament is working on a bill which will put together process to curb the corruption Isn't it interesting? Why then do you think they will come out with strong enough bill?
Ruling party speakers are saying that there is a process to create new bill which is only possible is done by parliament and hence they have right to reject any changes suggested by anyone (jan-lokpal bill). But when constitution gives them this right, it is actually the common man who has vested them with responsibility of deciding. Is it wrong if common man wants to revoke the right of parliament for exceptional item like Lokpal bill? If not, what is definition of the democracy here?
